Le Canard Enchaîné (Paris) published an article on synthetic deodorants labeled natural
Le Canard Enchaine, a newspaper in Paris, France, published an article on the abuse of language used to label and market natural products. The article highlights that the mode of assisting products with the term "natural" has greatly increased and there is a growing market for crystal deodorants labeled "natural" when in fact the products are manufactured using synthetic mineral ingredients.
This article also reaffirms the Verdan methodology for visually determining which deodorant stones are natural and which are synthetically manufactured. The synthetic crystal deodorant stone can be recognized by its opacity, and natural crystal deodorant stones are recognized by their high level of translucency, as seen in the Verdan alum stone.
