All Verdan crystal deodorant products are made from 100% natural potassium alum stone (kalunite™). In Verdan crystal deodorant processing centers the natural potassium alum, is crafted using traditional methods, such as those performed when cutting, shaping and polishing marble. Our process has been perfected by first selecting the finest quality crystal blocks of potassium alum stone available. Once selected, each crystal deodorant product is individually carved into its final shape by sawing, cutting, and punching in order to ensure each piece is perfect. This technique requires an expert workforce and keen eye to maintain the highest quality we demand.

The purity of one specimen of natural potassium alum can slightly vary from one to another. The high degree of translucency is evidence of the absence of mineral impurities. For more than 30 years Verdan has been an industry leading supplier of genuine, all-natural potassium alum stone. Our potassium alum is guaranteed to be 100% natural, free of all synthetics, and is not made using aluminum hydroxide (ATH), aluminum chlorohydrate or ammonium. All our products use potassium alum in its pure mineral form which has been extracted from natural origins.
Potassium Alum Natural Odor Prevention
Potassium alum is a natural anti-microbial, which means that when it comes in contact with bacteria, such as bacteria in sweat that is responsible for body odor, it inhibits its growth. By inhibiting bacterial growth odor is prevented; and the body is still able to maintain its proper course of eliminating toxins through sweat, as well as controlling body temperature. Alum Origins
Alum occurs typically in large deposits located throughout the world in areas of volcanic activity where formation is a result of steam and hot gases venting from fumaroles and interacting with argillaceous rocks. It appears as a translucent, crystalline stone and is colorless and glassy (vitreous).
